Hello! I'm Amy,
A friendly and professional graphic designer, located in Ocean County New Jersey. I have recently graduated from Stockton University with a BFA degree in visual communication.
Location
I am located in Ocean County, New Jersey, USA. I have grown up down the road from Long Beach Island, and have spent much of time there. Since I can remember, my grandmother would take me to the island for frequent trips to the beach. It had quickly become my happy place and I had developed a profound love for the shore. I aspire to work for a company that embodies this essence of island life.
I first began studying at Ocean County College undecided of what career path I wanted to choose. Graphic design, entrepreneurship, and creative writing were at the forefront of my choices. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from OCC with an associate's degree in Liberal Arts. I then transferred to Stockton University to pursue an education in visual arts with a concentration in visual communication. I can proudly relay that I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Stockton University on May 11th, 2024.
Education
Career
My journey in the graphic design industry began while attending Stockton University. My first internship in the summer of 2023 was specifically in the publishing and editorial industry. My duties included designing spreads, writing articles, and managing social media accounts for the Northeast Ohio Weddings Magazine. I am now pursuing both graphic design and entrepreneurship by establishing myself as a freelance graphic designer.
Creative Projects
Photography
I enjoy spending some of my free time taking photographs, both digital and film. I enjoy capturing all kind of moments through the lens. Some of my favorite things to capture are nature, landscape, and street photography.
Adobe Animate
I have taken a strong liking to the Adobe Animate software and intend to continue and develop my skills in this area. What I like most about experimenting in Adobe Animate is that it enables me to push beyond just the design, but to set the design in motion as well.
Blog
I have had a love for reading and writing since I was a child. Blogging is something that I had always wanted to invest time in, and found trouble doing so with a busy school schedule. I had taken a course named 'My Digital Portfolio', and was given the opportunity to write weekly blog posts. This is something that I want to work into my routine post college graduation and stay consistent with. I found that writing blog posts has allowed me to exercise my creativity in a different capacity than design.
